About the role

This is a great role managing our Data Processing team and reporting into the Operations Manager, whilst also working closely with the Fieldwork and Client Service teams. Importantly, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who demonstrates current and progressive thinking, and be key in helping drive the efficiency and automation efforts of the company as we move forward.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • To supervise and lead the Data Processing team, ensuring that data tables and analysis outputs are delivered on time to a high level of quality. KPIs related to quality, turnaround time and related metrics to be monitored, and tools should be put in place for doing so.
  • Team structure and resources should be continually assessed, with processes implemented to meet demand, such that scheduling projects and tasks for the DP team is administered with optimal efficiency, while continually keeping on top of rapidly changing requirements and priorities, coordinating with both core members of the team as well as contractors.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organisation, including Research and Operations teams, in order to understand needs and priorities in an ever-changing environment.
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to team members, including contractors and outsourcing companies where required.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback; support effective goal setting for individual and team development.
  • Support training efforts, provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs.

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 8 years’ experience of significant data processing experience in a Market Research agency or related field, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Merlin, Quantum or similar.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in managing a team, having demonstrated effective people management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in implementing and change; the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate how they managed change related to improving efficiency, changes in tools or software, or other changes in the working environment.
  • A good numerate degree; 2:1 or above, or equivalent qualification.
  • An analytical mindset, able to demonstrate logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work well within a team and happy to communicate with clients.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude, and a willingness to work flexibly and adaptively.
  • Willingness to be trained on software packages may not have prior experience of.
  • MS Excel to a good standard.
